Ο Πανελλήνιος Σύλλογος Ιαματικών Πηγών και Λουτροπόλεων Ελλάδας ενημερώνει τα μέλη του, τους φορείς της Τοπικής Αυτοδιοίκησης και όλους τους ενδιαφερόμενους για μια σειρά από σημαντικές παρεμβάσεις, προτάσεις και ενέργειες που αφορούν την ανάπτυξη και την αναβάθμιση των ελληνικών λουτροπόλεων.
Κατά το προηγούμενο διάστημα δεν κατέστη δυνατό να πραγματοποιηθούν δύο συνεδριάσεις του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου, κυρίως λόγω των θερινών διακοπών και των απουσιών μελών του Δ.Σ. Ωστόσο, τα σημαντικά ζητήματα που είχαν προγραμματιστεί συγκεντρώθηκαν και προωθήθηκαν προς συζήτηση και υλοποίηση.
Μεταξύ των θεμάτων που απασχόλησαν τον Σύλλογο ήταν:
- Η ενημέρωση από τον Ευρωπαϊκό Σύνδεσμο Ιαματικών Πηγών για τις δραστηριότητες και τις εξελίξεις στον ευρωπαϊκό χώρο.
- Η συμμετοχή αντιπροσωπείας του Συλλόγου στην Έκθεση Βιβλίου της Θεσσαλονίκης και η προβολή των ελληνικών λουτροπόλεων μέσα από σχετικές δράσεις.
- Προτάσεις προς τον Δήμο Θεσσαλονίκης για την αξιοποίηση στάσεων λεωφορείων που παραμένουν αναξιοποίητες.
- Παρέμβαση προς το Υπουργείο Τουρισμού για την κατάρτιση και επιμόρφωση του προσωπικού που απασχολείται στον τομέα του ιαματικού τουρισμού.
- Ενημέρωση για το Ευρωπαϊκό Βραβείο Καινοτομίας και τις σχετικές δράσεις σε ευρωπαϊκές πόλεις και μητροπόλεις.
- Παρέμβαση για την αξιοποίηση των Ιαματικών Πηγών Τραϊανούπολης του Δήμου Αλεξανδρούπολης, στο πλαίσιο των σχεδίων του Δήμου.
- Πρόταση προς τον Δήμο Ανδραβίδας-Κυλλήνης για τη λειτουργία των λουτρών καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια του έτους και όχι μόνο κατά τους θερινούς μήνες.
- Αίτημα προς την Περιφέρεια Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας για οικονομική ενίσχυση του Συλλόγου.
- Παρέμβαση προς τον Δήμο Κασσάνδρας για τα Λουτρά Αγίας Παρασκευής και την ανάγκη πραγματοποίησης της επίσκεψης που είχε προγραμματιστεί.
- Πρόσκληση προς φορείς και επιχειρήσεις να στηρίξουν τη λαχειοφόρο αγορά του Συλλόγου, η οποία θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 30 Οκτωβρίου 2026.
- Πρόταση για την ανάπτυξη της ποσιθεραπείας, θέμα που θα επανέλθει προς συζήτηση σε επόμενη συνεδρίαση.
- Ενημέρωση από τον Ευρωπαϊκό Σύνδεσμο σχετικά με ζητήματα διασφάλισης ποιότητας και σύγχρονων πρακτικών στον χώρο της υγείας.
- Πρόταση προς τον Δήμο Θέρμης για την αξιοποίηση της περιοχής των Λουτρών Θέρμης, με τη δημιουργία σύγχρονου δημοτικού κολυμβητηρίου και την ολοκληρωμένη αξιοποίηση της ευρύτερης έκτασης, σε συνεργασία με τον Δήμο Θεσσαλονίκης.
- Επικοινωνία με τους αδελφούς Κουμπατσιάρη σχετικά με εκδήλωση του Συλλόγου.
- Υπόμνημα προς το Υπουργείο Τουρισμού για την ανάγκη αναβάθμισης των υποδομών των ελληνικών λουτροπόλεων, ώστε να ανταποκρίνονται στις σύγχρονες ευρωπαϊκές προδιαγραφές.
- Ενημέρωση για τη νέα επένδυση στον τομέα της εμφιάλωσης στη Σουρωτή Θεσσαλονίκης.
- Πρόταση του Συλλόγου για την αναβάθμιση των υποδομών όλων των ελληνικών λουτροπόλεων στα πρότυπα αντίστοιχων ευρωπαϊκών προορισμών, όπως στη Γαλλία, τη Βουλγαρία και άλλες χώρες.
- Νέα παρέμβαση προς τον Δήμο Κασσάνδρας για την ανάγκη άμεσης δημιουργίας σύγχρονων υποδομών ευρωπαϊκών προδιαγραφών στα Λουτρά Αγίας Παρασκευής.
Τα παραπάνω ζητήματα συζητήθηκαν συνοπτικά και θα συνεχίσουν να εξετάζονται στις επόμενες συνεδριάσεις του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου, με στόχο τη διαμόρφωση συγκεκριμένων προτάσεων και την προώθησή τους προς τους αρμόδιους φορείς.
Στόχος του Συλλόγου είναι ένας: οι ελληνικές λουτροπόλεις και οι ιαματικές πηγές να αποκτήσουν τις υποδομές, την οργάνωση και τις υπηρεσίες που απαιτούνται, ώστε να μπορούν να ανταγωνιστούν ισότιμα τις αντίστοιχες ευρωπαϊκές λουτροπόλεις και να αποτελέσουν προορισμούς για όλο τον χρόνο.
Το παρόν σύντομο δελτίο εκδίδεται για την ενημέρωση των φορέων, των επαγγελματιών του κλάδου και όλων των Ελλήνων και ξένων επισκεπτών που επιλέγουν τις ελληνικές λουτροπόλεις τόσο κατά τη θερινή όσο και κατά τη χειμερινή περίοδο.

The Panhellenic Association of Thermal Springs and Spa Towns of Greece informs its members, local authorities, public institutions and all interested parties about a series of important initiatives, proposals and actions concerning the development and modernization of Greece’s thermal springs and spa destinations.
During the previous period, two meetings of the Association’s Board of Directors could not be held as scheduled, mainly due to the summer holidays and the absence of Board members. Nevertheless, the important issues that had been planned were collected, promoted and will continue to be discussed and followed up by the Board.
The main issues addressed by the Association include:
- Information from the European Association of Thermal Springs regarding its activities and developments throughout Europe.
- The participation of a delegation of the Association in the Thessaloniki Book Fair and the promotion of Greek spa towns and thermal destinations through related activities.
- Proposals to the Municipality of Thessaloniki concerning the utilization of currently unused bus stops for promotional and informational purposes.
- An initiative addressed to the Ministry of Tourism concerning the training and professional development of personnel working in the field of thermal tourism and thermal spa facilities.
- Information from the European Association regarding the European Innovation Award and related initiatives in European cities and metropolitan areas.
- An initiative concerning the development and utilization of the Traianoupoli Thermal Springs in the Municipality of Alexandroupolis, in cooperation with the municipality and local authorities.
- A proposal to the Municipality of Andravida-Kyllini concerning the operation of the thermal facilities throughout the year and not only during the summer months.
- A request to the Region of Central Macedonia for financial support for the activities of the Association.
- Communication with the Municipality of Kassandra concerning the Agia Paraskevi Thermal Springs and the visit that had been planned but did not take place.
- An invitation to organizations, businesses and other stakeholders to support the Association’s fundraising lottery, which will take place on 30 October 2026.
- A proposal for the development of drinking cure therapy (potable thermal water therapy), which will be discussed at a future Board meeting.
- Information from the European Association concerning quality assurance and modern approaches in healthcare.
- A proposal to the Municipality of Thermi for the development of the area of the Thermi Thermal Springs, including the creation of a modern municipal swimming centre and the integrated development of the wider area, in cooperation with the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
- Communication with the Koubatsiari brothers concerning an Association event.
- A memorandum to the Ministry of Tourism regarding the need to upgrade the infrastructure of Greek spa towns, so that they meet modern European standards.
- Information concerning the new investment in the bottling industry in Souroti, Thessaloniki.
- The Association’s proposal that all Greek spa towns should acquire infrastructure and services comparable to those available in leading European thermal destinations, including France, Bulgaria and other European countries.
- A further initiative addressed to the Municipality of Kassandra concerning the urgent need to develop modern, European-standard infrastructure at the Agia Paraskevi Thermal Springs.
The above issues were discussed briefly and will continue to be examined during the next meetings of the Board of Directors, with the aim of developing specific proposals and promoting them to the competent authorities.
The Association has one clear objective: Greek thermal springs and spa towns must acquire the infrastructure, organization and services necessary to compete on an equal basis with European thermal destinations and to become attractive destinations throughout the entire year.
This brief press release is issued for the information of public authorities, local organizations, professionals in the sector and all Greek and international visitors who choose Greek thermal spa destinations during both the summer and winter seasons.
